Justiceworks, Ltd. was established to foster forms of justice that strengthen and heal the communities of Central Wisconsin.

Justiceworks, Ltd. is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the advancement of programs that secure right relationships between offenders, victims, and their communities.

Description:
Justiceworks, Ltd. is focused on providing services in the following areas:

  • Alcohol and drug-free housing
  • Coordination of services to the justice system
  • Education and community outreach
  • Family law resource information
  • Mediation services
  • Rehabilitative assistance to offenders
  • Victim-Offender conferencing

and other initiatives which pursue similar goals.

Some of our programs include:

Community Education and Outreach - provides community forums on justice issues, including the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration.

Family Law Information Center - offers assistance with court forms and procedures, and referrals to community resources for unrepresented persons involved in divorce and other family law cases.

Mediation Services - (in development)

Riverside House - provides alcohol and drug-free residential living for individuals seeking to maintain sobriety.

Victim-Offender Conferencing - provides a dialogue between victims and offenders in which the emphasis is on healing victims, holding offenders accountable, and restoring losses.

Volunteers In Probation (VIP) - offers community mentoring services for misdemeanor offenders.

History:
Justiceworks, Ltd. incorporated May 2004 as a non-profit corporation after two years of planning by more than 110 volunteers to develop the framework for a community justice organization. Today, an 11-member Board of Directors leads a corporation with nearly 300 members representing various sectors of the community.
