In the housing division of CCB we strive to provide safe housing for developmentally/physically disabled and elderly housing under the HUD program. We have a Tenant Service Coordinator who provides a link to local agencies etc based on the tenants needs.

Description:
Two apartment complex's one in Plover WI (Maywood)located at 2601 Madison Ave(elderly 55 and up) and one in Wisc Rapids (Acorn)2721 10th st south.Acorn is rented to developmentally/physically disabled tenants. Acorn- all tenants live independently however some are interested in learning better cooking skills, organizing their household and ideas on grocery shopping, grooming and love to have people come in and organize card games or cooking demonstrations. Many of the tenant are employed at either ODC or at Local establishments. In Plover our apartment complex is mainly elderly 62 and over who fall into a specific (low) income range. We welcome (at both places) any class what is interested in doing a can good or paper (towels-toilet-kleenex etc) drive for the tenants. With the coming holidays would like to find a group who would like to donate personal items for holiday giving such as toilet paper, kleenex,hand soap, dish soap, or items such as stationary, candy,can goods, stamps, or any other item that the tenants would use that would help their budget.For many of our tenants Holidays have little meaning as they are either the last surviving member of their family or their families do not have the time for them.

History:
CCB tracks its beginnings to 1915..St Joseph's Orphans Home. 1942- Catholic Welfare Agency. Licensed day care Hudson 1962. Transition of CWA to CCB Housing.1980 developed network of appt buildings and group homes for disabled and elderly. Dove Home Care added 1996. Presently CCB has programs in 31 counties in WI.
