The Volunteer Center of Portage County acts as a central referral source and recruits volunteers for placement in organizations throughout Portage County. The Volunteer Center organizes special events within the community, such as Make a Difference Day and Project Fresh Start. The Center also works with local businesses, schools and community organizations to promote the value of volunteerism.
