JA Worldwide is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Junior Achievement volunteers come from all walks of life and include business people, college students, parents and retirees. Along with JA's participative activities and your real-life experience, you will help bring theory to life for the students. The classroom teacher is always present to assist with the programs. Volunteers start with a brief orientation where they receive instruction, guidance and materials including scripts and activities. Classroom visits are based on the grade level (K-12th grade), with 5 to 7 visits lasting approximately 30-45 minutes. There is flexibility as teachers and volunteers work out the scheduling between them. Training is required and provided by Junior Achievement Staff and/or may be completed on-line.
