Persons with visual impairments or who are disabled enjoy listening to Volunteer Readers voices as they read the news. As a volunteer reader you will record the Stevens Point Journal/Portage County Gazette onto a digital recorder provided to you. Then the News on Disc will be mailed (free of charge) to individuals who are disabled or visually impaired upon their request. This is a very flexible volunteer role, you can volunteer your time and talents from home.

Volunteers will be required to fill out an application, pass background check, and attend an orientation.
